A programme of small group study learning with a proven track record supported by examination results obtained by candidates that are well above national averages. The programmes of study are based on a partnership between the candidate and a personal tutor who will visit you at work or at home during your studies once every two weeks during the academic year. An initial contract and continuous learning agreements allow learning to be tailored to individual needs of the group. Group establishment depends upon candidates wishing to study together; the benefits of group study include shared costs, reference materials and experience plus additional motivation. Our individual learning can take us anywhere around the country, but we do try and bring people together in small groups to help with the costs for the candidate.
Throughout the year we build up a picture of interest from people and then when August and December arrives we start to try to bring groups together. Special provision exists in Dublin, Ireland preparing emerging Arboricultural experts over a 2 year period for examination, which has led to candidates successfully passing both examinations. 2006 saw the start of the fifth two year programme. Here the accent is on providing training at a pace where Tree Life does the hard work of travelling. If you would be interested on joining a course starting in September 2008 in Dublin please send me an email (keely.treelife@globalnet.co.uk) stating you back group, level of interest and contact details.
This type of Provision is NEW for Tree life and is a twist on the more common correspondence course. At Tree Life we believe in preparing candidates for exams in the best way we know and so to do this we like the face to face contact with student, we realise however that sometimes there just aren't enough hours in the day for everything. For this reason we have designed Tree Mail which will provide work, questions and guidance by post or email to candidates. The added benefit and unique point of Tree Mail is that by buying the packs of work you also build up a day in our training centre as a revision lesson, for each unit you take, right before the exams so that you are fully prepared and feeling confident before entering the exam room. Tree mail can be started at any time with no restrictions on time - you are the once that creates the timetable. More...
